Your next customer won't Google you. They'll ask ChatGPT. This video follows Lena, who sells seriously fun socks, from that first uncomfortable answer to a fix she can ship the same day.
The question every shop should ask ChatGPT
We asked ChatGPT where to buy really fun, colorful novelty socks online. It named Sock It to Me, Happy Socks, Blue Q and John's Crazy Socks. Socksmith, the shop in our demo, was not mentioned.
That answer is a sales conversation you never got invited to. Qomvia shows you where you stand in those conversations, why, and what to change. The guide on why ChatGPT recommends your competitor covers the causes in depth; this piece shows the workflow.
Step by step
1. Run the free check
Enter the shop's domain on qomvia.com. Qomvia reads the site the way AI agents do and scores what holds it back, from crawler access to server rendering. No signup needed.
2. Sign up and start tracking
One email, no password. The shop lands in the dashboard, and Qomvia keeps asking the models the questions that matter. Plans cover ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok, with Claude and Perplexity as add-ons.
3. Connect Qomvia to ChatGPT
In ChatGPT, add Qomvia as an app with the server URL https://qomvia.com/api/mcp/account, sign in and approve. The MCP page has the full setup for ChatGPT, Claude and other clients.

4. Find the questions shoppers ask
Lena asks: "What do shoppers ask AI about my Flamingo Party socks? Suggest the best search phrases and save them to the product." Qomvia proposes shopper-style questions, and four new ones were saved to the product for tracking.

5. Measure your AI visibility
Next question: "How visible is Socksmith in AI answers right now?" The latest run came back with a 40% mention rate, 33.3% share of voice, an average rank of 2.67 and a 0% citation rate. Etsy and Sockologie were the rivals in the same answers. See how to measure AI search visibility for what each number means.

6. Get the fix, inside ChatGPT
Finding gaps is the easy part. Lena asks for the ready-to-paste fix prompt for her worst failing check. Qomvia names it (pages are empty without JavaScript, about 260 characters of raw HTML) and writes the prompt for her developer or coding agent: server-render the main content or expose it in JSON-LD, then re-run the scan.

7. Keep it tracked
The AI monitor shows which answers still name someone else, and what changed since the last run. Product questions refresh weekly in the Product monitor.
Try it on your shop
Ask ChatGPT what it would recommend in your category. Then run the free check and see why.
